Do you enjoy being outdoors in the summer? Are you interested in a summer job with a flexible schedule? Would you like to earn money while having fun? Then #JoinTheFunWithPRCS and become part of the Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services Summer Lifeguard crew. We have positions available beginning in May 2018 and running through September 2018 at the Franklin Park pool in Purcellville and the Lovettsville Community Center pool. When you join us, you will employ your unique skills to do important and meaningful work critical to the success of the pool as well as the community as a whole. A positive attitude, good communication skills, and being self-motivated are traits needed for the successful candidate. We offer: o Flexible schedules - mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends o Paid monthly in-service trainings As a lifeguard you will monitor pool activities and ensure the safety of swimmers by enforcing pool rules and regulations and ensuring a clean and safe aquatic environment. Attention to detail is needed, as daily custodial duties and maintaining aquatic facility records are required. Please include all applicable paid or volunteer experience on the application. Salary will be based on qualifications.
Lifeguard I requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of 10th grade. Lifeguard II requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma.
Must have Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, including First Aid and CPR, prior to beginning work. Prefer at least six months job related work experience.
