Praxair's Global Procurement Materials Management (GPMM) organization is currently seeking a student for our 2018 Summer Internship Program. The student should be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Mechanical Engineering.

Our interns collaborate regularly with equipment suppliers, individual technical experts, engineering contractors, construction contractors, plant maintenance and plant operating personnel, and other project team members. The goal of our internship program is to provide hands-on practical experience for the student while potentially developing the individual to take on a full-time role with Praxair post-graduation.


The Summer Intern will work on various Procurement projects within GPMM’s North America operation and Distribution team for:

  • Operations (OEM Parts and Services)

  • Distribution (Truck, Car & Forklift Leasing)

  • Asset Recovery and Redeployment

  • Maintenance, Repairs, and Operations (MRO)

  • Participate in regional and global management meetings

  • Support other GPMM initiatives



  • Highly creative with initiative and drive

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven track record of personal accountability and success throughout their academic and professional career

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred


  • Pursuing aBachelor’s or Master’s Degreein one of the following majors:Business, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering
