Position Summary:

The Housing & Transportation Admin is responsible for the overall operation of The Bunkhouse, The Barracks, and VIP Condos. Additionally, they will assist the Transportation Coordinator with scheduling and arranging transportation schedules. Excellent and timely communication is an essential function of this role, in order to ensure smooth operations during summer camp. This includes following all safety and health regulations, maintaining inventory of supplies, linens and furniture, cleaning rooms and common areas, overseeing campers and counselors, assigning staff/camper/visiting pro rooms, inspecting rooms on a regular and scheduled basis. The Housing & Transportation Admin will work closely with the Camp Office assigning appropriate living arrangements for Woodward Tahoe campers and staff. He or she will take age, gender and specific requests into account when assigning rooms. Expenses need to be monitored and kept within budget guidelines. This person is also responsible for ensuring the overall well-being of campers, staff and VIPs during their stay in any Woodward Tahoe housing.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate weekly housing assignments for campers, staff, and visiting professionals
  • Update and enforce the Housing Policy
  • Ensure all staff and guests follow the rules and regulations within the Housing Policy
  • Organize daily and weekly housing inspections
  • Hire, train, and supervise any cleaning staff including schedules and payroll
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding accommodations
  • Clean rooms and common areas
  • Maintain inventory of all existing property and equipment
  • Arrange for all repair and maintenance and ensure it is taken care of in a timely manner
  • Uphold the highest standard of professionalism in appearance and behavior at all times
  • Behave in a manner appropriate to our youngest campers (7 years old)
  • Work with homesick campers
  • Helping to arrange transportation schedules
  • Contacting parents of campers who will purchase or purchased transportation
  • Plan and coordinate weekly airport transportation needs for campers, staff, and visiting professionals
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment
  • Communicate with other departments as needed
  • Maintain an approved driving list on a weekly basis
  • Assisting medical team with arranging transport during emergency situations
  • Other duties as assigned

Certification & Education Requirements:

  • Experience in hotel, lodge, or other similar setting preferred
  • 1-3 years summer camp experience preferred
  • CPR and first aid certification preferred
  • Action sports or snow sports experience preferred
