Interns will gain practical, hands-on experience and training that will provide an opportunity for growth, learning and development within the Logistics, Refining and Marketing industry. In addition, this internship will provide the opportunity to gain practical, professional work experience in the learning and development arena. The intern will collaborate and partner with various business units to create and promote learning initiatives.

  • Key Responsibilities*

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create a consolidated regulatory training matrix

  • Assists with converting existing instructor-led material or presentations to eLearning or a blended delivery format

  • Participate in the planning and deployment of Enterprise Learning Management System and EHS&S Learning Portal

  • Manage workload effectively including planning, organizing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.

  • Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Assists with needs assessment and other activities as directed

Through orientation and professional development offerings, Andeavor’s Interns will gain exposure to the industry while engaging in goal setting, performance reviews and networking.

  • Minimum Qualifications*

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in learning & development, instructional design, adult EDUCATION, human resources, EHS&S or a related discipline

  • 3.0 minimum GPA strongly preferred

  • Preferred Classification: Junior, Senior

  • Additional Skills*

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, learning and development, either through course work or professional experience

  • General knowledge of environmental, health, and safety programs preferred

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Fast learner, eager collaborator; meticulous attention to detail

  • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and track milestones and meet project quality expectations

  • Ability to prepare information for presentation and communication to broad audiences
