The Role: Xylem is seeking Intern candidates with an Information Technology background to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting in the operational status of network systems and works closely with employees and other members of the Global Network Operations team. The duties of this position range across the spectrum of supporting and implementing complex solutions around business need.
Create and update the network infrastructure documentation.
Create and update the network infrastructure diagrams.
Perform network management tasks within SolarWinds and other network monitoring tools.
Document configuration best practices for all Network Infrastructure.
Develop a plan to standardize Cisco configurations across similar platforms.
Assist with upgrading the software for network hardware.
Clear configurations from old networking equipment.
Validate and update all infrastructure Inventories.
Minimum two years of college completed.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Strong decision making and organizational skills require
Ability to effectively and professionally present information in one-on-one and small group organization.
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Familiarity with Microsoft office products, with ability to learn internal systems.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
