Duties• Instruct a course(s) recognized by the New York State Education

• Department.

• Prepare or modify curriculum and course outlines.

• Prepare daily or weekly lesson plans and conduct a schedule of formal instruction for residents of an Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) facility.

• Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.

Minimum QualificationsRequirements for Appointment at Each Level:

For Teacher 2: New York State provisional/initial/conditional initial certification in the appropriate specialty**.

For Teacher 3: New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty**.

For Teacher 4: New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty and two years of post-certification (provisional/initial/conditional initial or permanent/professional) teaching experience in the appropriate specialty**.

Additional InfoVarious Specialties: English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Special Education, or Physical Education.

Certification must be at the 7-12 grade level

Level of appointment is based on training and experience.

Teacher 2, G-13 $20.18

Teacher 3, G-15 $22.55
