This position supports vendor management and company s business requirements by analyzing and coordinating technical services such as system changes, business models which include processes and data, web based KPI and related reporting solutions PACCAR ITD Purchasing interns will obtain real world experience in day-to-day supply chain management operations, interact with various PACCAR divisions and learn dependencies between materials, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology, Supplier Quality, Finance and Purchasing. Job Functions / Responsibilities * Support business managers on select projects to negotiate and manage all aspects of PACCAR s relationship with an assigned group of suppliers, including the commercial/contractual requirements with respect to quality, technology, delivery, customer service, support, logistics and total cost. * Support technology managers in the development, negotiation, and implementation of strategies resulting in improved performance and enhanced product quality. * Evaluation of supplier communication and work flow with focus on opportunities for improved efficiency and utilization of system capabilities.
