Google Global Business Organization MBA Internship (Nest.com) - 2018 Summer Nestling Program in Palo Alto, California
The Nest Global Business Organization team is responsible for delivering revenue and profit for the organization. The small teams require each member to have a significant impact on the final product, and our interns are no exception. Past interns were critical to successfully bringing our products to market, and we want our future interns to leave the same footprint. Our team creates the strategies, drives the initiatives, executes the programs, and develops the technologies that bring connected home products to millions of homes around the world. A few exceptional MBA Interns will get to help us plan what's next.
Each target area creates an MBA intern experience around a key focus area essential to driving the business. Roles and responsibilities are equivalent to those of a program manager, business analyst, merchandising manager, business development lead, and or operations manager.
We’re hiring for 4 open positions:
Global Business Operations
AMR Energy Sales
AMR Retail Sales
Nest.com sells hardware and subscriptions in 14 different markets globally. We are a core sales channel for the overall business, and the testing ground for new sales strategies with direct visibility across the entire organization.
You will work closely with our global team including engineering, sales ops, marketing, analytics and finance to monitor and help drive the business forward. This includes: developing new sales strategies, testing pricing, launching new products, and building business cases for new revenue initiatives.
Each role will have a specific, defined project that the intern will work on over the summer - focused either in Program Management Sales Operations, Retail, Energy or owned (Nest.com) channels at Nest. At the end of the summer, each Intern will deliver a presentation to senior executives on their recommendation for the business challenge.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, MA, MBA, or Ph.D. in Business, Marketing or equivalent
Experience within Retail and or Energy channels
Experience with .com
Experience within Consumer Electronics
Marketing or merchandising background
Experience within Sales, Consulting
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work through ambiguity and to work autonomously
Thrives in a fast-paced working environment
Related experience, industry knowledge, and strong technology skills
Excellent communication skills in English
Ability to travel
