Independent School District 279 Instructor- Camp Bulldog Summer 2018 at Brooklyn Middle School in Osseo, Minnesota
Instructor: Camp Bulldog Summer 2018 General Purpose of Job Leading and planning quality and intentional instruction for a summer teen program that includes academic intervention, life skills, leadership, enrichment activities, service learning and student planned activities for students that will be entering grades 6-8. Responsibilities: Develop and implement ongoing program. Gather input from parents, staff, and children to use in planning. Create and implement a written plan of program activities on a weekly basis that align with STEAM standards. Provide students opportunities to engage in reading, writing and math activities on a daily basis. Ensure that students engaged in program are getting social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs met. Promote and enforce effective use of time, materials and set standard for student accountability. In cooperation with Program Facilitators and other site staff, maintain the continual well-being of the students in the program. This includes individual student conferences as needed with parents and staff, and daily instruction to engage students. Facilitate and implement a written plan of program activities on a weekly basis. Engage in all student activities; leads small group activities. Maintain an attractive and functional room environment. Assist in the planning and purchasing of supplies and equipment. Attend all staff meetings. Provide a variety of alternative learning techniques and experiences for the students. Keep student related/program related records, such as attendance, programs, schedules, and others as determined by the Program Facilitator and Program Coordinator. Be knowledgeable of the overall mission of the district and the policies and procedures of the individual program. Be fully engaged in the summer program to ensure high quality, high academic standards, and a strong team environment. Basic Information Camp Bulldog will be located at Brooklyn Middle School This program is available to students currently in grades 5-7 who will be attending Middle School in the fall of 2017. Program Dates & Times June 18- August 2 (CLOSED JULY4th and 5th) Monday-Thursday 9:30 am - 3:30 pm MUST BE WILLING TO COMMITT to all dates the program is OPEN!!!! Hours: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (includes prep time) and additional staff training times TBD There will be set up days and training the week of June 11-15. Monday mornings a staff meeting may occur and you will be required to be there by 8:30 am to plan for the week. Salary: Per guidelines Required Meetings All staff meeting - TBD in March/April Program set-up and training - Week of June 11-15; TBD as of yet. Staffing decisions will start he week of April 9th, 2018 and continue as we recieve more registrations.
