HarperCollins Publishers Summer Internship 2018 - Managing Editorial (Children's) in New York, New York
Attention grammar nerds! The managing editorial department of our Children's Books Group is currently seeking a summer intern to help with a variety of projects.
This summer internship is a paid opportunity (28 hours per week), and it will run from June 11 through August 16 for a total of 10 weeks.

Assisting in checking late stage book content (galleys, PDFs).
Assisting in creating and distributing PDFs of final book files.
Distributing and tracking book metadata (such as selling copy).
Database management (setting up marketing ISBNs).
Assisting with digital quality assurance – checking digital version against
Applicants must be at least entering their junior year of college
Applicants going into their senior year of college, grad students, or college graduates preferred
College-level understanding of grammar and spelling is required
Some experience working on college and/or high school publications is preferred
Experience with copy editing and/or proofreading is helpful
Previous part-time work experience is preferred
Must have a love of books!
