Mechanical Systems & Components is responsible and accountable for the engineering design, analysis, development, certification and support of structural and mechanical systems components for all aerospace mechanical products.
MS&C Additive & Mechanical Design has an opening for an SUMMER INTERN to support Environmental Control Systems & Nitrogen Generation Systems products design, 2D drawing detailing and ECS/NGS system integration (components such as turbo-compressors, ducts, frames, wiring harness, brackets, plenums, heat exchangers, water extractors, ozone converters, etc).
Summer intern will be supporting design engineers duties for designs, develop concepts, 3D models and detail drawings of Torrance site product lines.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Enrolled in a Bachelors Degree Program
- Attributes/Skills Required/Sought:• Works with self direction, takes initiative, exercises sound judgment, discretion and capable of complex decision making in a dynamic work environment.• Strong technical, analytical, organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills.• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) is desire.• Able to successfully work in and promote a team environment.• Use of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Project)• Knowledge of Siemens NX or Pro/E CAD software• Knowledge of manufacturing process• Knowledge of GD&T and drawings interpretation. Experience/Education Required/Sought: • Student of Mechanical Engineering degree prefer or technically similar (Mechatronic, Aerospace)• Strong English written and oral communication skills• Experience working on Machining center or Air Conditioning installation, maintenance and repair..
