ON Semiconductor Summer 2018 Process Integration Engineering Intern in Meridian, Idaho

We are looking for engineers to be key contributors to the development of process technology by performing detailed analysis of data from process and design experiments on new pixel technology. Major impact areas include characterizing process technology experiments. The Process Integration Engineering Intern will be a key contributor to new process development activities, and can make a meaningful impact by improving our image sensor devices and technology capabilities. Additionally, working with cross-functional teams, responsibilities include determining process experiment’s impact on device performance, optimizing process recipes, device timing and voltage operation, and optimizing new device/pixel layout.
This opportunity will ask a student to have the following performance objectives:
Actively learn the details of CMOS Imager process.
Analyze data from silicon lots looking for statistical signatures, which can lead to process improvements.
Gain understanding of experiments run on silicon and how they impact pixel and part performance.
Create PowerPoint reports summarizing analyses and conclusions.
In order to be considered for an internship, you must be a student currently enrolled in school pursuing an accredited degree program. This position is specifically looking for someone working on a degree in electrical engineering, physics, material science, chemical engineering, semiconductor processing, or closely related field.
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
Working on a degree in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, chemical engineering (or closely related field)
Excellent communication skills, and ability to effectively summarize data and conclusions.
Semiconductor material and device physics
Semiconductor processing and fabrication knowledge
Familiar with statistical analysis concepts (ANOVA, regression)
Familiar with analysis in Excel
Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience:
Image sensors and imaging/camera systems is bonus.
Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication equipment and process details is a bonus.
Photodiode layout and operation is a bonus
Familiar with statistical analysis tools (JMP, or other similar analysis software)
