WorkSource Oregon Program Leader - Summer Day Camp in Medford, Oregon
The Medford Parks and Recreation Department has exciting opportunities and are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable Program Leaders for our 2018 summer day camps. The Program Leader will serve as a camp counselor for children ages 5-12, carrying out activities assigned by the camp director to ensure a positive and safe camp experience for participants. Summer Camp hours are from 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Position will work 30-40 hours a week from June 18th through August 24th. This recruitment is to hire several temporary summer positions. Typical Job Duties: 'Ability to work and interact with participants, parents, staff, and volunteers in a positive manner. 'Capable of performing duties and activities as assigned by supervisors. 'Ability to provide a safe environment for participants. 'Ability to work effectively with staff and general public in a team environment. 'Program Leaders should be punctual, flexible, creative, patient, and have a great sense of humor. Being a team player is a must! Minimum Requirements: 'Available to work 30-40 hours a week from June 18th ' August 24th. 'Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, preferably in recreational or child care settings. Special Requirements: '16 years of age or older. 'Current Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it (classes offered onsite at no cost will be available).
