Hanesbrands, Inc. Internship: Sales Intern - Summer/Fall 2018 - Manhattan, KS in Manhattan, Kansas
Sales Interns will experience every aspect of the sales department from service to selling. Interns will have the opportunity to learn and grow through inbound/outbound calls, online chats, and providing overall customer satisfaction. Team focus will be on outbound prospecting and online chat generation to increase new business and help grow sales within their designated sales regions. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about other business functions by shadowing other departments and will work on a job specific training program within the Sales department. Successful internships will be considered for future internships or full-time employment. Students with sales coursework are preferred, but not required.
Internship will start in May 2018.
Performs in a professional and polite manner with every customer by assisting them with their questions and concerns regarding placed orders or products, via phone, online chat, email, voicemail, and other GTM communication methods, as needed.
Ensures quality and enhances customer satisfaction by converting web orders, notifying customers of any order concerns, as well as entering order modifications per customer preference and/or specifications in given turn time.

Ensures that all projects assigned get done in a timely manner.
Provides back up to Sales when peak volumes require more resources for inbound sales calls/online chats.
Drives the enhancement of customer satisfaction by notifying customers of order concerns by reviewing dashboards to avoid delays due to yellow art, credit/art approval, or must ship orders.
Gains new customer referrals from existing customer base
Communicates effectively with team members, supporting departments, and management
Promotes GTM by assisting customers with all web based tools, including TeamStore, Coach’s Assistant.
Stays logged into phone/chat system as assigned to handle inbound call/chat volume.
Contacts customers whose marketing mailers are returned to ensure up-to-date addresses.
Completes position specific training plan, and engages in continuous development utilizing a developmental plan.
Records customer interactions and activities in the GTM Customer Relationship Management tool (Salesforce).
Upholds GTM’s Vision, Mission, and Values by “Making it Personal” during every interaction and process with all departments and team members.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Students with sales coursework are preferred.
6 months to a year of related sales, and or customer service experience is preferred.
Strong computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to effectively communicate with customers, resolving issues while maintaining the highest standards of empathy and compassion for customers’ needs and concerns.
Must be highly self-motivated.
Resourceful and well organized, works well under pressure, able to multi-task.
Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to fast paced environment.
Strong interpersonal, written, communication and organizational skills.
Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
