2018 Summer Associate Program – Information Technology Consolidated LabOur undergraduate summer internships are a great way to gain confidence, sharpen your skills and make a difference. You ll work side by side with people who value your enthusiasm and creativity. The 2018 Summer Associate Program lasts 10 weeks, 40 hours a week, from June 4th to August 10th. The consolidated lab position will be offered out of Hartford, CT. You ll be assigned to a business within Aetna s Information Technology division and work on tasks you would experience if you worked here full time. Summer Associates also participate in:· A cross-functional project that provides solutions to a real business issue Aetna is facing, and the chance to present their recommendations to senior leaders at the end of the internship · Community service initiatives· Mentoring program· Networking events· The opportunity to learn about our businesses and get exposure to senior leaders Fundamental Components:We are seeking a highly motivated summer intern to work in our fast paced diversified organization supporting our Consolidated Lab. The Summer Associate Program will provide you with exposure to the following: · Web application· Performance assessed against quality of project plans developed by project lead, and tasks completed within assigned time-frames, by project team.· Lead assessments and formal customer feedback to be requested at time of key project completion points for:o Mobile Environment & Testing Assistanceo Microsoft Security Patch Upgradeso Provide back-up to Customers Demo Area & Brainstorming Session Needso Lab Inventory Re-validationo Lab BIOS Assessment of Existing Inventory (Phase 1)o Lab BIOS Updates for Out-of-Date Devices (Phase 2)o Review/Update of Core Customer Service Units Methods & Procedureso Documentation Background/ExperienceCurrent student pursuing a 4 year Bachelors degree in a relevant field of studyOverall GPA of 3.3+ (required)Strong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated leadership abilityAbility to work independentlyExcellent oral and written communication skillsOrganizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentDemonstrate analytical thinking skillsProficiency with MS Office productsEducationThe highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
