Project Engineer Co-op - July 2018Hasbro is currently recruiting enthusiastic, technically curious & creative engineering students to assist Engineers & Project Managers in the development of our products. You will learn how a toy is developed from initial concept in the U.S. to production overseas. Depending on education level, increasing experience & demonstrated ability, there will be opportunities to assume independent project &/or product design responsibility.We also offer a unique opportunity to our students by participating in Hasbro’s Co-op EPIC group project. Co-ops work in teams to bring an idea for a Hasbro product to concept stage. This includes presenting the idea to business partners at various checkpoints in the process, and prototyping the concept for presentation.We are looking for Mechanical Engineer Co-ops to work with several Global Engineering teams across our brand portfolios.

Product Development Engineering:Work with Development teams to ensure quality, cost and schedule adherence.Assist Engineers during concept development, prototyping, product testing, and manufacturing debugProvide technical advice and feasibility assessment for new product conceptsCommunicate with cross functional teams (Marketing, Design, Project Management, Packaging, Quality, Legal, and Hasbro Far East Engineers) on product content issues throughout the entire development process.Create product specification packages (using Excel, Word and our web-based product development system) to define product content and functionality, including cost and delivery targetsParticipate in cost review and reduction efforts to meet business objectivesPart and mechanism creation with SolidWorks may be available for candidates with knowledge of this CAD software (depending on business need)Qualifications:Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student, May 2018 graduates are not eligible for our Co-op programMust be available to work full-time as a co-op from July 6- December 21Co-op assignment can be either a mandatory or optional requirement for graduationPreference will be given to candidates with:Completion of at least one year of study towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial EngineeringProject work or co-op experience in product design engineering, mechanism designExcellent communication & interpersonal effectiveness skillsStrong time/project management skills & the desire to build/expand competency in this areaIntermediate-level skills in MS Excel, Word & Outlook & web-based applications Candidates are responsible for their own housing & transportation (FREE Parking).
