We are currently looking to hire students for our Summer Internship Programme to our Budapest office in Hungary .
LOCATION AND DURATION
This Treasury Funding Internship Program is primarily aimed at students in their final year of university (though exceptional candidates at an earlier stage of study are going to be considered) and takes place in our Budapest office. This is a 3-month program running between mid-June and mid-September 2018.
At present time we are only accepting candidates who can work with us full-time throughout the program .
Treasury Funding’s primary responsibility is to ensure effective cash management of Citibank’s Nostro accounts across Western Europe by compiling and analyzing currency positions within the day, and by reconciling previous days’ positions.
To provide accurate and timely funding projections and, if needed, initiate liquidity transfers accordingly
Monitor Nostro Account balances and align reporting to Market Cut-offs
Review and analyse complex transactions both intraday and during reconciliation
Effective communication with departments whose work is related to Nostro cash management, including the Risk Treasury trading desk
Timely resolution of any reconciliation issues
Timely and effective escalation of all issues
Reconciliation of Nostro accounts
Claiming Interest costs from erring parties
Diverse positions in the areas of Treasury Funding
Improvement of multitasking, stress handling and analytical skills
Gaining knowledge of numerous Citibank products and processes through their effect on cash management
This is a paid, tax effective internship program and remuneration is considered competitive amongst similar internship roles available in Hungary.
Exceptional interns may be offered a permanent junior level role.

Currently completing a BSc/MSc at a Hungarian higher education institution (with a valid Hungarian student ID card) in Accounting, Finance or similar
Strong mathematical or analytical background
Excellent spoken and written English + Hungarian (plus German is an advantage)
An understanding of the Corporate Treasury business would be highly beneficial
The candidate is expected to be dynamic, flexible and a quick learner as the business requires candidates to be able to learn and perform multiple functions parallel
Strong PC skills in Excel, Word and Outlook. Training will be provided on other systems used within this position
