Very busy boat shop seeking a detail-oriented, hard worker to join our team! Title : Summer Store Assistant Direct Supervisor : Sheli Potmesil, Business Manager Hours : Seasonal position – time frame approximately April until September. Approximately 10-20 hours per week starting ASAP. Increasing to approx 35 hours starting as early as possible in May or June (e.g. when school is out). Schedule can be discussed and mutually agreeable, but must include Saturdays 10am-3pm, and prefer mid-week work be spread daily Tuesday through Friday. Aqua Tech will be closed May 26 through May 28, and July 4-8. No vacation time is allowed during our busy time, from April through August. Pay rate : starting at $11.50/hour Uniform requirement: Solid color pants. Aqua Tech will provide company t-shirts. No open-toe shoes. Rain coat, as there is some outside work. Duties: Customer service assistance: Greet customers when they enter the store. Answer phones as needed, direct calls as needed, and take messages. Perform cashier duties to complete customers’ sales transactions. Cleaning: Clean customer’s boats when repair jobs are done. Perform regular cleaning of store, repair shop, storage, and yard areas. Occasional weedwhacking, blowing, lopping, etc. to keep property looking nice. Parts help: Count inventory. Keep retail area parts and shop supplies clean, rotated and stocked. Create labels and displays for parts to go in our retail store. As needed, check in parts deliveries and make sure the deliveries are correct. Move boxes of parts & supplies as needed. Keep parts paperwork updated. Organize/move store & repair shop items as needed. Other: Assist with paperwork such as filing, collating, tabulating, and data entry as needed. Data entry of notes as needed. If you have a car, occasionally use your own personal, registered & insured car to run infrequent errands. Other tasks, duties & projects as necessary. Skills: Applicant must be detail-oriented, organized and focused. Proficiency in math is particularly helpful. Accuracy and thorough work extremely important. Must be friendly with customers, and work well with others. Must be proficient typist to enter repair order notes quickly and accurately. Proficiency in spelling and grammar are helpful, as our retail software does not have spell-check. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word is helpful. Must be flexible, i.e. willing to do many different types of tasks. Must be able to learn quickly, work independently, and
