Our Summer operations team is looking for enthusuastic and motivated individuals to join their team and show Beaver Creek Resort's guests around our beautiful mountain resort. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Able to hike uphill and downhill wearing a 20-30 pound backpack, dealing with elevation changes of up to 4000’ on uneven terrain for 4-6 hours at a time

  • Ability to lift 50-100 pounds

  • Perform front line duties operating various attractions and hiking products

  • Collect required data from guests

  • Maintain operating procedures and safety standards for employees and guests.

  • Address operations and guest service needs by setting clear goals and objectives for staff on a daily basis.

  • Maintain and update schedules daily with days off requests, day trades, last day of work; managing the operation in order to achieve budget goals according to departmental guidelines

  • Responsible for guest and employee safety and guest safety including compliance with state, federal, and industry regulatory operating requirements (ie. USFS, OSHA, ANSI, ASTM, ACCT, IAAPA, etc.).

  • Ensure the highest level of cleanliness, organization, and care for the activities and equipment of the Hiking Center. Actively foresee, plan for, and mitigate any hazards or risks associated with their activity.

  • Work with Management, Patrol/Medics, Lift Operations and other key departments to keep our facilities and equipment maintained and in safe working order and to develop a positive working environment

  • Assist with distribution and gathering of training assessments

  • Responsible for providing immediate guest recovery in their area, sharing guest feedback with staff, and adjusting operations to best create the experience of a lifetime

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with employees and guests

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • Ability to perform outdoor, labor intensive work

  • Minimum 1 Year previous experience in the outdoor industry; knowledge and skill in leading recreational activities.

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Staff management

  • Guest service recovery

  • Experience in a role relating to the outdoor recreation, amusement, or hospitality operations industries.
