Accounts Receivable Intern

SUMMARY: These are two separate positions; one will assist the Accounts Receivable area with their contract invoicing process and the other position will provide support to the Accounts Payable area with the supplier invoice payment process. Both positions may also provide a variety of assistance to all other areas within the Accounting department as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Accounts Receivable Intern

Assists Accounts Receivable in the preparation of contract service invoices. Duties include:

·Prepares audit checklist and invoices from machine contracts.

·Works with Operations and Marketing departments to obtain timely machine contract information and maintains Account Receivable reports and files.

·Prepares journal entries for billings and accruals.

·Completes and assists with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Accounts Payable Intern

Supports and assists the Accounts Payable area throughout the process of supplier invoices. Duties include:

·Processes invoices, which includes matching invoices to appropriate purchase orders and receipts.

·Reconciles and resolves vendor statements and open receipts.

·Prepares and enters month end accruals and other various journal entries.

·Completes and assists with special projects and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

·Highly motivated individual able to work in fast-paced environment.

·Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task efficiently.

·Excellent written and oral communication skills to be able to work effectively with internal and external customers.

·Responsible, accurate individual with the ability to meet defined due dates.

·The ability to work independently with little to no supervision.

·Adherence to company confidentiality requirements.

·The individual will follow Loram’s safety rules and regulations

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Prefer person working on Bachelor of Accounting degree; and one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS:Working knowledge of various PC based computer software packages including financial spreadsheets and word processing. Intermediate Excel.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:Excellent communication and leadership skills when interacting with internal and external customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: The applicant will have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compute ratios and percents.

REASONING ABILITY:Ability to correctly make decisions involving client issues/ problems including when to escalate the problem to a more senior consultant
