Town of Vail Parking Attendant - Summer in Vail, Colorado
The Town of Vail, Colorado, the premier mountain community and international resort, is seeking guest service oriented applicants, to join our SummerParking team. Parking Booth Attendants are responsible for collecting parking fees and maintaining records for parking structure operations as well as event parking at Ford Park (outside venue).
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for collecting parking fees from customers.
Prepare complete and accurate records and reports.
Assist customers in a courteous manner, and answering general questions.
Perform various traffic control responsibilities.
Responds to citizen and guest questions, concerns and complaints in a timely, courteous and helpful manner.
Monitors all radio traffic; communicating with appropriate coworkers and management when necessary.
Audit cars in parking lot and monitors parking facilities for space availability and safety concerns.
Operate all equipment concerning parking operations.
Change signage at parking locations and communicate as needed to guests.
Coordinate efforts with Vail PD and Transit departments to ensure an efficient parking system.
Occasionally shovels snow/ice from islands and spreads cinders as necessary.
Uphold the Town of Vail values.
Drive Town of Vail vehicles
This position is exposed to car emissions, dust, fumes and adverse weather conditions.
Shifts / Schedules
Position will begin Memeorial day weekend. The parking structure is a 24 hour operation / 7 days a week. Employees will be assigned to a shift depending on availability, 40 hrs a week. 4 x 10 hour shifts.

Qualified applicants must meet the following requirements:
High-school diploma or equivalent
Previous Customer Service experience
Valid Drivers license and an acceptable driving record
Previous cashiering experience
Excellent verbal communication skills necessary
