JOB SUMMARY: Assist collection specialist in maintaining customer accounts receivable to ensure payments are received within time.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Verify payment status of outstanding invoicesPerform collection activities in order to meet current goals and metricsResend invoices and customer statements of account as needed or requestedReview daily cash application report for discrepanciesReview unapplied cash report and apply appropriatelyWork to keep Hub Group External DSO to acceptable levelsUpdate Sr. collection specialist through reporting of collection issues for past term balances of assigned aged receivablesEnter and update collector contacts in the operating systemsObtain the needed documentation to attach to the invoicePerform other special projects and duties as assignedMust be enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree Program, preferably business emphasisMust have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interface with customers and internal personnelProficiency with software programs such as MS products, and Lotus Notes is preferred; data entry skills are requiredMust be a team player with high energy and strong organizational and problem solving skillsMust be able to work with minimal supervisionOur summer internship runs from May 2018 to August 2018. It is 40 hours per week Monday thru Friday. To qualify you must be an undergraduate student for the duration of the internship.
