What will I do?
The Pfizer Consulting & Execution (PCE) Summer Associate will be part of a team supporting critical projects and programs of varying complexity and scope across Pfizer's business units (BUs) and divisions. The Summer Associate will provide internal consulting services to our clients. He/She will most often work on a team consisting of both PCE and BU colleagues collaborating to deliver on projects per the established timelines.
By bringing strong business analysis and effective project management practices, the PCE Summer Associate will support the success of a broad variety of initiatives and projects. Typical projects include operational transformations such as running analysis in support of business recommendations, restructuring components of the business, building new capabilities, increasing business efficiency efforts, re-designing or improving complex processes or working on program management efforts. Projects may be global or regional in nature and often involve multiple divisions and/or BUs.
The PCE Summer Associate will provide project and program management support and manage day-to-day execution of the project from planning through implementation. Activities may include developing a project plan, conducting interviews, facilitating workshops, collecting and analyzing data and developing solutions. He/She must maintain a business perspective and orientation and quickly learn the content while providing process and project management expertise. The PCE Summer Associate will also cultivate and maintain relationships across executives and internal stakeholders within the BUs and other divisions to drive critical business solutions.
What do I need?
The PCE Summer Associate will need to be highly proactive, to work collaboratively within and across teams, to have strong attention to detail, along with written, verbal and listening skills, presentation skills, facilitation, mental agility, and relationship building skills. He/She will need to demonstrate an understanding of the business.
Candidates should have experience in:
Managing multiple projects and/or programs (i.e., collection of sub-projects) and business analysis
Aligning stakeholders, facilitating conflict, and communicating information in a way that enables leaders to have transparency on the underlying issues and potential solutions in varying settings including workshops, small group sessions or one-on-one meetings
Consulting methodologies and frameworksCandidates must be enrolled in a full time MBA program and possess an undergraduate degree with 3 years consulting experience at a management consulting firm or an internal consulting role.
