S&P Global 2018 Credit Risk Solutions Summer Internship Programme is a 10 week summer training program commencing in June - July 2018.

The Team - The Business:

You will be part of a global team of credit risk solution analysts who are a substantial part of our S&P Global Market Intelligence business line. We are looking for penultimate year students and high achievers from a diverse pool of undergraduate & postgraduate institutions that are passionate about analysis and want to develop their career in a dynamic, high performing and multicultural team. We are looking for students who are able to work well within a team and can demonstrate exceptional learning agility, creativity and problem solving ability.

You will be part of a team that is responsible for providing the broadest range of data and insights in the format our customers want them. You will support a team that is responsible for distributing the research and findings of all our business areas as well as commercializing the company’s intellectual property developed in our Ratings business.

Interns will also be offered the opportunity to assist the Credit Solutions team, a substantial part of the S&P Global Market Intelligence business line, in achieving its mission of being the destination for essential credit intelligence, by providing the broadest range of data and insights in the format our customers want. Credit Solutions is responsible for distributing the research and ratings from S&P Global Ratings, as well as commercializing intellectual property developed in Rating Services. An intern’s responsibilities will typically be to work on projects that include providing timely and accurate financial statistics, providing data analysis, assisting in reporting, research and presentations, modeling, process improvement, and writing projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and accurate quarterly financial statistics and data analysis

  • Assist in reporting, research, presentation on research & analysts and modelling

  • Support the team on improvement in execution and ad-hoc writing projects

What we’re looking for:

  • Fully matriculated students maintaining a minimum 2.1 in a BSc or BA degree, or equivalent

  • Postgraduate students in their penultimate year of studies will be considered

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

  • Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail and organizational abilities

  • The ability and the desire to learn to conduct your own analysis and research

  • Fluent command of English Language is essential and a 2nd European language is desirable
