Our co-ops work on a variety of impactful projects. They develop and test our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in their field of study. Summary The position will test the new features of ANSYS Mechanical APDL product. The objective of this job is to test software to ensure product requirements and quality standards are satisfied and to help assess how well the product will meet customer needs both in terms of functionality and usability. This co-op is a 40-hour per week paid position supporting the Mechanical Business Unit. Starting in May 2018, this assignment will last two continuous semesters, with potential to extend to a third semester pending individuals academic schedule. Responsibilities * Perform software product testing to verify MAPDL features developed in current release * Assist in the planning and implementation of testing initiatives * Help to analyze requirements and develop tests suitable for new features within the appropriate environment * Investigate possible causes of problems, file defects and retest fixed defects * Update and modify existing tests as necessary * Specify and write test cases * Write and maintain test scripts * Perform functional, application, regression and performance tests in a manual and * automated test environment * Perform HPC testing on Windows and Linux systems and clusters using various MPI software and interconnects with shared memory parallel (SMP) or Distributed ANSYS.
