Egan Company INTERNSHIPS- Starting Summer 2018 in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota
Egan Company is looking for Interns/summer helpers for Summer 2018 starting shortly after Memorial Day or Early June and lasting until at least mid-August in 2018!

Hot fields we typically look for:
Students in CAD or drafting programs- mechanical or electrical for design roles
Students in Electrical Design programs- for Assistant PM roles or Drafting/Design roles
Students in Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering programs for our Controls Engineering Roles
Students in Construction Engineering roles out of state, HR programs or business programs (for HR Internships), Industrial Safety programs or Risk Asssesment degree-programs.
Students in Automotive Programs or interested in Construction trades (for low-voltage, garage, HVAC and plumbing helper roles and/or warehouse)- enrolled in HVAC, plumbing, Electrical Constructions programs.
4 year degrees or Masters in any of the following, as applicable:
Civil Engineering (Glass/Glazing Internship only)
Construction Management/Construction Science
2 year degrees in:
Automated Robotics Engineering Technology, or related field
Controls Engineering/ Automation and Robotics
HVAC, Plumbing Piping Technology, Electrical Technology
Automotive- Heavy Equipment (diesel) mechanic
At this time, we are unable to provide sponsorship for our internship spots. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Egan attends various job fairs throughout the year, and especially in the Spring: University of Minnesota- College of Science and Engineering, U of M- Built Fair, Dunwoody Career Fairs, North Hennepin Technical, Diversity in Action Job Fairs as well as others around the Twin Cities and beyond. If you attend these schools, be sure to stop by our booth and try to speak to a member of our staff!
Role depends on internship. Specific job descriptions will be posted once approved . Interviews occur generally around December/January ending in late April. Pace depends on manager hiring and business needs around that time.
How it works:
An email will be distributed when positions are posted. At that time, you must apply for a specific role in order to be considered. If your resume matches the role we're looking for, we'll call and schedule an in-person interview with our management and/or their team!
Updates are not possible prior to December- as needs are generally not determined until managers needs are finalized with regular business for the year and a mentor is determined for the internship.
Required - must be currently enrolled in 2 year or 4 year program at least.
Must be through 1st year of program in 2 year program by the time of internship OR at Junior status by internship (if in 4 year program).
3.0 GPA minimum in major and comprehensive GPA.
Ability to communicate with other employees in English sufficiently to understand and be easily understood.

Performance of duties in the office.
Egan office normal operating hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm.
